Articles of Faith

We believe the Bible (in the original language thereof) to be both verbally and plenarily inspired of God; that it is the complete and final revelation of God’s will to man; and that it is our only authority in matters of faith and practice. 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21; Matt. 24:35; John 17:17; Rev. 22:18-20.

We believe the Scriptures reveal that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; equal in every divine perfection, and executing distinct but harmonious offices in the great works of Creation and Redemption. Gen. 1:26; Matt. 3:16-17; Matt. 28:19; Acts 5:3-4; John 1:1; 1 Pet. 1:2.

We believe in the Deity of Jesus Christ; His virgin Birth; His sinless Life; His blood atonement in substitutionary Death on the Cross for our sins; His physical Resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of God where He ever lives to make intercession for us; and His personal, bodily, visible, imminent, pretribulational and premillenial return. John 1:1; Rom. 1:3-4; Luke 1:26-35; Phil. 2:8; Matt. 28:1-20; Acts 1:9-11; ;Heb. 10:12; Matt. 20:28; 2 Cor. 5:21.
We believe that God, by a special and direct act, created man in His own image and not by any evolutionary processes. Gen. 1:26-28; Gen. 2:7; Col. 1:16.

We believe in the Scriptural record of the fall of man into sin, and in the total depravity of all mankind; therefore in the necessity of regeneration through the Holy Spirit evidenced by repentance from sin and faith in Christ. Gen. 3:1-24; Rom. 5:12; 1 Pet. 1:23; Ps. 51:5; Rom. 5:18; John 3:18; Rom. 3:23; 2 Cor. 5:17; 1 John 5:1; Eph. 2:1-5; Acts 16:31; Rom. 6:23; John 3:3.

We believe Salvation to be by Grace through Faith, wholly apart from human merit; and that every individual is a sinner by birth and by choice, and therefore must exercise personal faith in the person and work of Christ in order to be saved. Eph. 2:8-9; Acts 15:11; Rom. 11:6; Gal. 1:15; Rom. 3:23-24; John 1:17; Acts 16:31; Rom. 6:23.

We believe in the eternal security of the believer. Heb. 12:23-24; John 10:28-29; Rom. 8:35-39; Jude 1, 24; 2 Cor. 1:21-22.

We believe in the reality and personality of the Devil. Matt. 4:1-11; John 8:44; Rev. 12:9; Job 1:6-7, 9-12.

We believe in the resurrection of the saved and the lost. 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:42-44, 51-54; Phil. 3:20-21; Luke 16:25; Rev. 20:11-15.

We believe in Heaven as a place of eternal bliss for the saved, and in Hell as a place of eternal damnation for the lost. Rev. 22:5; Rev. 20:15; Heb. 12:23; Matt. 25:41, 46; 2 Thess. 1:9; Luke 16:22-31; Matt. 10:15.

We believe that a New Testament Church is an organized body of baptized, independent, self-governing believers, practicing the Scriptural ordinances and actively engaging in fulfilling the Great Commission. Matt. 28:18-20; acts 15:1-31; Heb. 12:23; 1 Tim. 3:1-13.

We believe that Baptism is a Scriptural ordinance requiring immersion of believers only, and is to be administered only by the local Church. Matt. 28:19-20; Mark 16:15-16; Acts 10:46-48; Acts 22:12-16; Acts 2:38; Rom. 6:3-9; Matt. 3:16.

We believe that the Lord’s supper, as a Scriptural ordinance of the Church, is a memorial service only to be partaken of by obedient Christians. Matt. 26:26-29; Mark 14:22-25; Luke 22:17-20; 1 Cor. 11:17-30.

We believe in the New Testament principle of personal and ecclesiastical separation. 2 Cor. 6:17; Rom. 1:1; 1 Tim. 6:3-5; 2 John 9-11.

We believe that the healing and tongue movements are not Scriptural and are contrary to sound doctrine and those who practice such are in error. 1 Cor. 12:8-10, 28-31; 1 Cor. 13:1-13; 1 Cor. 14:1-40.

We believe that marriage was instituted by God for the union of one man and one woman to be severed only by death. Any sexual activity outside the bonds of this marriage union are considered sinful which would include homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, pornography, and transgenderism. Gen. 2:24; Rom. 7:2; 1 Cor. 7:10; Eph. 5:22,23; Gen. 19:5,13; Gen. 26:8,9; Lev. 18:1-130; Rom. 1:26-29; 1 Cor. 5:1; 1 Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4.
